Mr. Luckytohaveme and I believe in this wholeheartedly. Which is why we have made it an absolutely essential part of our parenting to introduce TheLittleMiss to books of all kinds, hopefully fostering a love for reading, and for books. To be able to achieve this we don’t stick to only the regular books, the ones we grew up reading, the classics. We also like to look around and explore and find newer, more enjoyable options for her.
During one such search, I came across a website called Lost My Name. They make personalised books for children, and even though personalised books are not a new thing, I really liked the concept of these books. They offer two stories at the moment: The Little Girl Who Lost Her Name/The Little Boy Who Lost His Name, and The Incredible Intergalactic Journey Home. I ordered The Little Girl Who Lost Her Name.

Story: The Little Girl Who Lost Her Name is the story of a little girl who wakes up one morning and finds that she has lost her name. She looks everywhere in her room and fails, and thus sets out on a search for her name. During this search, she comes across many different creatures, with little stories of their own, who help her gather an alphabet each of her own name.
Customisation Options: While customising the book, you can choose an avatar for your child, and you also get to choose from 2-4 different creatures for every alphabet. Each book comes with an auto-generated dedication for the child, which can also be customised.
Delivery Options: Standard delivery within the U.S is free, and takes about a week or so. Express delivery costs a little and takes about 3-5 days. They offer free delivery worldwide, by the way, which may take up to 2 weeks. Express delivery costs you, of course.

I ordered the basic softcovers and was very pleased with the quality.
Cute story, interesting creatures, rhyming passages, and colourful illustrations make this a very attractive read. The print quality is great, and I believe it is money very well spent. I highly recommend that you get these for your children, your nieces, your nephews, you little siblings or cousins, friend’s kid, neighbour’s kid, any kid you’d like to get a really nice gift for!
